Remedial massage otherwise a “clinical massage” is the therapeutic manipulation and rehabilitation of the soft tissues of the body. It acts on the underlying layers of muscles, tendons, ligaments, connective tissue, and fascia to help the body repair and re-integrate traumatised tissue, release stress, strains, and restore balance. It uses a variety of Soft Tissue techniques, Fascia Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Sports Stretching, Hot and Cold Stone Therapy alongside functional exercises to identify the problem and stimulate its healing. At Araré Healing Hub, we also incorporate a blend of the most effective Eastern massage techniques such as Acupressure and Table shiatsu into this treatment. Remedial bodywork massage therapy is; • Great for easing the tension that builds up in muscles due to postural habits such as remaining immobile for periods of time in a sedentary job, • Aims towards maintenance, • Injury prevention, • Treat a more specific pain problem needing injury rehabilitation Full consultation which includes postural analysis, questions about the origin of and where your pain refers and other on-going physiological and emotional conditions forms part of the first visit. A course of 6 treatments is recommended initially. Surrounding areas, more than 7 miles from Shirley attract an additional £10.00 fee. FREE PARKING MUST BE AVAILABLE; NO STAIRS (except client is happy to carry massage couch).
